Having plants in your home is good for your mental and physical health—assuming you can keep them alive. As many aspiring plant parents have discovered, providing plants with everything they need to grow and watching them flourish isn't as easy as it sounds. The Gala smart pot is an indoor plant container currently raising money on Kickstarter that uses smart design to keep your plant hydrated and oxygenated even when you're not home.

The Gala pot, designed by the Spanish gardening design company NIMA Barcelona, owes its effectiveness to its dual-compartment system called WATAIR. The upper pot holds the plant and the soil. When you water your plant, the excess moisture drains through the filter in the bottom of the pot and collects in the container beneath it. This lower compartment acts as a miniature water tank. Cotton capillaries that thread through the filter absorb just enough water to keep the plant properly hydrated without drowning it. The two-level irrigation system also encourages air to circulate through the soil, making for healthy, well-oxygenated plants.

The innovative planter is designed to be as hands off as possible. With the WATAIR irrigation system, certain types of plants only need to be watered by hand once every three weeks, which means if you're going on vacation—or don't have time in your schedule for regular plant care—you can walk away from your pot knowing it will do the hard work for you. And while you devote energy to other things, your plants can act as natural air purifiers for your home.

Gala smart pots, available in terracotta and white clay, can be reserved from Kickstarter for a pledge of $77 or more. If the campaign meets its $22,330 funding goal by June 28, products are estimated to ship in November of this year. Each pledge also gets you four free months of plant support service, making the system even more foolproof.

If you're the type of person who could eat avocado toast for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, this pool float may be your perfect summer accessory. The giant inflatable avocado is built for lounging in the pool on hot days, and when you're ready to get up and move, the pit acts as a detachable pool toy you can play with.

At 65 inches tall and 51 inches wide, the avocado raft is the ideal shape and size for sunbathing in your backyard pool. It holds up to 600 pounds, so as long as you're willing to share your relaxation time, you can make room for a friend.

Just like a regular avocado pit, the ball in the center slides out easily, giving you plenty of space to stretch out. You can set the accessory aside as you relax or toss it around with friends. Measuring 18 inches wide, the "pit" is the same size as a beach ball.

The giant avocado pool float is now available on Amazon for $22. If you're looking for more culinary pool toys to add to your collection, this pizza pie float can hold up to eight people.

For decades, stress balls have been a convenient way to relieve anxious feelings in a pinch. But some days produce more stress than a squishy, fist-sized ball can handle. When squeezing a stress ball that fits in your hand isn't enough to ease your mind, this giant alternative that's currently raising money on Kickstarter could do the trick.

Billed as the "world's largest stress ball," the giant cushion from CL9 is like a cross between a hand exercise ball and a body pillow. It comes in three different sizes, ranging from small (12 inches wide) to jumbo (40 inches wide).

The cushion is stuffed with bouncy polyester gel fiber and covered with a stretchy, velvety cover, making it ideal for squishing your worries away. If you're exhausted after a long day, you can cuddle up with it just like you would a normal pillow. You can also play with it when you're feeling stressed or antsy.

CL9 also offers a 9-inch, tube-shaped pillow for your arm and head. The cushion slips on like a band, acting as a portable pillow for days when you're far from the warmth of your bed at home. (It would be perfect for long plane rides.)

The entire CL9 relaxation line is now available on Kickstarter, with shipping estimated for October of this year. You can order a medium stress ball for $49 and the jumbo stress ball starts at $169. Prices for a set a four pillows—one in each size—start at $199.
